How can I find my nearest store?
Head here and pop in your town or postcode into the search box under 'Find your nearest US CeX store'.
Where do I find the opening hours?
Opening hours can be found at the bottom of each dedicated store page.
Can I return from one store to another store?
Of course. All our stores accept returns from other CeX stores.
How can I tell if the item I want is in my local CeX shop?
Type the name of your product in the search bar and refine your search by selecting your local store using 'A specific store's stock' drop down box, under "By Availability" on the right of the page.
The goods I want are not in my local store, how can I get them?
CeX are online at webuy.com, so you can get what you want delivered right to your door.
Is the stock on the website accurate?
Yes, the stock on the website is live. However, please note this does not take into account any items that have been reserved in store, so it is best to contact Customer Services before heading down.
How can I find out more about the goods I'm thinking of buying?
You can check the product description of the item for more information.
What do I need to sell goods to a CeX store?
You need to become a member, which is completely free. Please view our Membership Requirements.
I'm not happy with the level of service I have received, what can I do?
Tell us! Without your feedback we don't know where we are going right or going wrong. All feedback is used to continually improve the quality of service we provide.
What is the return policy when I purchase something in the store? Is it different than ordering online?
Yes, it is. All items are able to be exchanged to a store credit voucher equal to the amount paid within two days of purchase at any CeX location. We'll need the item(s), the accessories it came with, proof of purchase and ID. We do not refund back to your original payment method for items purchased at our stores.
I'm worried that buying 2nd hand goods means that they are not as good as new.
Relax; all goods we buy in are subject to our rigorous testing procedures and covered under warranty for a whole 24 months!
Where can I find the phone number for my local CeX store?
Unfortunately store phone numbers are for internal use only but please contact us with any questions you may have. If you are looking for live stock levels you can use our website.
Why are some phones of the same make and model different prices?
We charge different prices depending on the condition of our phones.We break this down into various grades. More about our Grading Policy here.
Will the phone I buy work on any network?
Each phone listed on our website will display the network it is compatible with. However, our 'Unlocked' phones are not tied to any specific network and can be used with any compatible service provider. Please check with us, if your cellular provider is compatible
Are the DVDs, Blu-Rays, and Video Games all boxed with instructions?
Games/DVD/Blu-Rays: These Products may not include the original box, cover insert, or instruction manual (if applicable).
Can I trade the items I have purchased?
As soon as you've finished playing with your games, watching your DVDs or simply want to upgrade your phone, MP3 player or any other of the many products that we deal with, simply sell them back to us for cash or take them to your nearest CeX store for a trade in. Please note if you want to sell multiples of the same/similar item a bulk discount may be applied.
Will your games work on my non-US system?
Our video games are NTSC-U (North America) versions, and as such you must have a NTSC-U video game system to play them, with the exception of PS4 and Xbox One which can play any region. We do not sell imported video games.
What about DVDs?
We only sell Region 1 DVDs, or Region 0 DVD that have been classified by the MPAA. There are six world Regions for DVD - Region 1 covers the USA & Canada. Discs manufactured in one region will usually only play on players that were manufactured for sale in the same region, so discs bought in the USA will not play on UK players and vice versa. Please check your DVD manual, or with the manufacturer, if in doubt.
Are your prices in US Dollars?
Yes, all prices listed are in US Dollars.
Are some of your products age rated?
Any product with a MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) or ESRB (Entertainment Software Rating Board) rating will be clearly described as such on the product page for that item. For further information on MPAA ratings, see http://www.mpaa.org/film-ratings/. ESRB is the standard throughout North America. ESRB age ratings are a guide and simply indicate what age you're likely to have to be to understand how to play the game. ESRB ratings can also indicate the type of content in a game - for example sexual content, violence or bad language. For more information visit http://www.esrb.org.
Before you head down to your local branch to sign up, take a look at the information below so you'll know what information you'll need to take with you.
To sign up as a full member you will need to be at least 18 years old and need to present ONE of the following ID:
- Current Signed Passport
- Valid State Photo ID Card
- Current State Photo Driving License/Permit (full/provisional)
- Armed Forces Photo ID Card
- State Issued Benefit Photo ID Card (Requires additional proof of address, utility bill, bank statement etc.)
